A home is something everyone deserves. By the same token, homelessness is surely something no one should have to endure. But homelessness is rife in our towns and cities – or it was until the COVID crisis. The speed with which rough sleepers were swept off the streets seemed to expose a lack of political will to deal with this problem in normal times.
