An operative resection specimen from a 42 year old man admitted for attacks of colicky pain of four months duration. Examination revealed a mass in the right iliac fossa. Laparotomy revealed an enlarged inflamed caecum, withan adherent section of ileum. Hemi-colectomy was performed, and uneventful recovery followed.
