A 1974 autopsy specimen from a 72 year old obese woman who had had a history of gallstones for many years. For the two weeks prior to her death she had been in bed with severe abdominal pain and bouts of vomiting. She died suddenly during an attack of vomiting. She had refused hospital admission.
