Vascular Pathology: Foot: Gangrene: Diabetes

An autopsy specimen from a 66 year old diabetic woman, who had developed considerable pain and rapidly deepening discolouration of the big toe region about eighteen days before admission. Amputation was performed three days later. She died in the immediate post-operative period.
