A liver from a woman aged 55 from Dominica who suffered from Schistosomamansoni infection. Death was due to haematemesis from a chronic duodenal ulcer. The liver was shrunken (1050g) with atrophy of the left lobe and showed coarse pipe-stem fibrosis of the cut surface. In addition, the specimen contains a simple haemangioma.
